imspencer asked: I met Henry in April this year. He is a man I consider to be an idol of mine, I love his work and was super excited to see him.
His show went for nearly 3 hours, I love every minute of it.
As I was leaving I heard that he was out the back meeting people. So I went around with a few mates, planning on going up to him and talking to him.
Thankfully, upon meeting him turned into...

porquepine asked: When my friends and I ran into Rollins he didn't say a damn thing to us. He was carrying all of his stuff inside for his show, obviously in a hurry. It was nice of him to pause and I still tell people that we are BEST FRIENDS because he didn't punch me in the face. (Not that he could have with his arms full. Shhh.)

apocalypgloss asked: Re: the conversation about the book Henry vs. the spoken word Henry you were having with another reader--
Before I met him for the first time, I had read "A Dull Roar." I remember reading in that book that he won't even put an arm around a fan because he has had fans in the past say he groped them and it wasn't worth the hassle. He complained how it was tough...

Anonymous asked: I got some Henry Rollins books for Christmas & My Birthday a few months back, they are very interesting.
In the books he seems really depressed, angry & misanthropic. Is that still the case? He seems like he is a lot happier now on stage and on tv, but is that all a facade?
I met him last April, and he was really cool. But in the books be repeatedly mentions how he hates...

nicotineflavoredcoffee asked: For the person asking what book to start with by Rollins, there's a "portable Henry" book. It's basically excerpts from all his writings. And it's quite literally called "The Portable Henry Rollins." That could always be a good place to start.

This installment includes Henry’s thoughts on the lame duck congress and gays in the military and what he does when he’s stressed out (as he says “hey now!”). No playlist for his KCRW BROADCAST for tomorrow, as there won’t be one, but workaholic Henry made a show anyhow, which you can download! (see below). For more details please visit KCRW.com and...
