The Rollins Name
Sorry to be so late to the Rollins surname party.
I edited a clip of Rollins’ interview on Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast. In the clip he attributes the name to a college his friend’s sister attended. I don’t think this is a solid answer, I’ve also heard him say that he borrowed it from the trucking company. Something along the lines of “I liked the road, and the idea of travel, and trucks seemed like something you you wouldn’t mess with, so: Rollins.”
